The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

I've come to this realisation. I need my own computer. I imagine a world where all my photos are stored on a single hard drive, a world where my camera and my computer live under the same roof - my electrics united as one. Yes, a world where blog entries are no longer few and far between but follow on freely. I have a dream...

We live in hope, clairzy, we live in hope...
but what was benny doing reading blogs at 3:58 am?

benny said...

Probably 3:58am Uganda time or something. I have much better things to do at that time of day - suturing drunk people, for example.

Monitor LCD - 'Likeable ... likeable .... LIKEABLE?! It's bloody brilliant and I'll have it described as no less. I particuarly like the witty blog title.

I know what you mean about the computer thing Clairzy. We don't have one since we moved off the boat so I must resort to internet cafes and wasting time at work to fuel my habit.

I just saw a photo of you and you're blonde! I want more photos girl more photos!

benny said...

Right. It took me a little while to work out that it wasn't the Monitor LCD's title or likeability that you were referring to...

Yes, oh paky day certainly is an enviable title, and unashamedly an inspiration for a recent title of one of my posts.

Clairzy my lassie, you've got 8 comments! It's clear your fans are cryin out for more from the wee paky day.

I too draw inspiration from Clairzy, who coined the term 'The Barge Years'. Unlike Benny however my intelligence does not span as far as to provide a link.

Ahh, Parkes & Benny. You have inpired me once again. All this attention on my soooo neglected blog reassures me that there's still a market for 'oh paky day'. These may be hard times, but by golly I'll press on!! Stay tuned fellow bloggers. Stay tuned. xxx

Ten comments! (Well eleven now) My goodness Claire. My record is a mere seven. Seems when it comes to blogging you have given us all much to aspire to. Just imagine what would happen if you were to actually blog on a regular basis.

woz + em said...

And another makes 12 Clairzy, and I'm prepared to take it 117 if it means getting some 'Paky Day' action.

woz + em said...

Oh Clairzy, how am I going to get homesick if I don't have 'Oh Paky Day' parading sun kissed beautiful people doing exciting things in the loveliest town on the planet?

woz + em said...

That was 13 just now. 13!

woz + em said...

Right girly, I've just seen comments from you on another blog, which means you had to login, which means you had THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TO POST SOMETHING WITTY AND CREATIVE on 'Oh Paky Day'.

Sigh ... you can lead a horse to water ...

woz + em said...

15 comments, hanging on the wall, 15 comments, hanging on the wall and if just one comment, should accidently fall ....

I take NO RESPONSIBILITY for my actions!

Haha. Hang in there Parkes! You have no idea how close I am to posting a new post! I promise! I've even selected the photos!! I know it looks bad, but please understand, I'm at work (working hard) and it's not the ideal blogging environment. I need a couch & a laptop and that's when I produce 'gold'. You've seen it - we've all seen it. We know I'm capable of it, but I'm telling you now and you have to believe me, this office is no place for a quality post. No place at all. It's cold, dark and creepy. In this place, the computer is against me and all technological things are my enemy. I simply do NOT want to associate my blog with such ill feelings. Please, can't you see that I'm doing this for you?? For your greater good. It's love. It's just plain old love. Right there, set out on the table for everyone to see. I feel no shame for such a beautiful thing. But I'm telling you now Parkes. Listen closely. You'll get your post. Yes, you'll get your post and it will be glorious. (possibly a little backdated - but still glorious). For you are my Parkes and I am your Monroe. Don't fight it.

I will be patient.

I say forget the blog; the comments are entertaining enough by themselves. Let's just keep doing this. Your last comment Clairzy was pure poetry - (and longer than some of the blog entries!!!!) - keep them coming!

Seems I am obliged to add a comment and round it off at 20! It is time for a new post Clairzy....you know where there is a couch, computer, even coffee to go with it. Keep the blog (and the comments, which I have to agree are equally entertaining), rolling in....

I too have a couch, computer and coffee, Clairzy. The travel time is also a good opportunity for you to brush up on your witty lines and subtle references to pop culture. I understand that Shepparton might be a little bit too far out of your way to make it a regular thing, though.

Congratulations! It seems that 'oh paky day' has just come of age!

Ooh ooh! We have a couch! We have coffee, three computers and those belgian brandy things you like (not to mention stellar company). All this just 24 hours of flying enjoyment away. At your fingertips really.
