Down In The Dumps

Taken at a rubbish dump in Phnom Penh. These kids live there and spend their days sorting through rubbish and collecting things to sell or eat.

Fish Anyone?

Kampuchea

Venturing far far and away from Pakenham while 2007 sprinted towards it's finish line, in Nov/Dec last year I took a trip to Cambodia. I went with around 10 others as part of a trip organised by 2H.

The purpose of the trip was not only to lend a hand to others in need, but also to try and grasp more of a reality other than my own - a reality that really should feel a lot more familiar to me than it does - a reality that inspires me to help make a change.

Hope you like the pictures.

Is anybody out there... still?

And so begins my 'oh paky day catch-up'. Stay tuned for an overview of the major highlights since my last entry back at the beginning of September (oh the shame). I hope to get this blogging thing a little more 'routine' one day. So here's yet another attempt at climbing back on that wagon, taking a comfy seat, and riding on through another sunny 'oh paky day'!

Aunty Clairzy

I thought I'd begin with my favourite - Isaac Fallu (aka Zaccabean, Zac, Zaccy, Zaccarac or just Bean) My first nephew & the first grandchild in the family, it's amazing how much joy one little boy can add in such a short amount of time.
