Vote 1 Log Lodgers

Celebrating election day in Pakenham with a typical Log Lodgers Gathering - finalising the policies before a big day of campagning.

PAKY BIRTHDAY MEL!!!

A fashionably late Paky Birthday goes to our very own Melissa Poynton!

A photo true to the theme of Mel's party - "Something you'd find in the Garden".

Dogga & Benny - All strung out in costume as a clothes line. Funny, yet practical.

Mia sports an Aussie favourite with her Hills Hoist Hat.

Tracey the Tarantula trapped in her doiley.

FOR NATE'S EYES ONLY

"I only have eyes for you" - xxx Faith

Mel

A little freaky...

Mel's growing up, dressing up and also learning to drive. This photo was taken just before her Yr 10 formal. So pretty!

Cup Day Picnic

Fashion on the playground as these three prove they are too cool for school.

A typical shot of Dogga getting into the cup day spirit,
horsing around in the playground and getting himself in quite an entertaining pickle.

Emma, getting into the swing of the spring carnival.

Oh...thats cute!

"Peek-a-boo I'll find you" Danielle finds her inner child as she and Emma "Race" around the playground.

If you imagined this photo with a racecourse to our left and a few lovely rose gardens here and there it would probably look more like Cup Day. Oh, and horses. Aren't there supposed to be horses?? Cup Day without a horse or a TV was a first for me, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Turns out all you need is good company and a picnic blanket and you can still get the full 'public holiday' experience.

Singles Unite in Style!

Dessert: Chocolate Mud Cake topped with a warm Chocolate Ganache, fresh raspberries and double cream.

Main Course: Fillet Mignon on a bed of Sweet Potato Gratin served with green beans finished with a Red Wine Jus.

Entree: Smoked Salmon, Crispy Bagel and Avacado Salad

A genious (well, her torso) at work. Behind the scenes of a dinner party that will go down in Singles history.

I think Don and Daile enjoyed being the honorary guests for the evening, they were even kind enough to share a few tips (to Jon mainly) about "what not to do" when dating. Unfortunatly they were not as forth coming with instruction of how to get a date in the first place.

Big smiles despite having the 'Singles Unite' compilation disc playing "All By Myself" every 3rd song.

Sharon's magic.

The happy singles. All dressed up and finally some place to go.... Sharon's!!! And what a night it was indeed. Indescribably good food and company too. The single's formal dinner turned out to be a definite winner. Standing together, alone, in singledom.

Paky Birthday to Maddie!!!

La Paky dix-septième anniversaire Madelina!!

Successful Slog

A proud Benny stands victorious after having conquered the grewling SLOG TO SALE!!!

Stephen laments "So close... yet" (judging by the apparent desperation) "Oh so far away."

Stephen & Benny Sloggin' it & setting a cracking pace (behind the rest).

Ready, Setty, Go!!! Nearly 100 riders show up for the day. At this stage they have no idea what they're in for...

The Fourth annual Slog to Sale sees riders brave rain, hail and shine. Another great slog that raised over $17 000 AUD for 4C's. Go sloggers!

By the way...

Did we mention we are VERY pleased to point out that our new number is none other than the 38th prime number. There was only a 23% chance that we'd even get allocated a prime number, and only a 0.61% chance it would be the 38th prime number. All of us at the Log Lodge are feeling extremely lucky at the moment and are thinking of changing the letter box to read "Prime number 38". If you've got it, flaunt it!!

No Longer At This Address

Gone are the days of' Lot 4, Ahern Rd, Pakenham' - an address we have all come to know so well. One of two houses on Ahern road that recognised itself as 'Lot 4', those who have lived there have always struggled with identity. I only learnt what our address actually was a couple of weeks ago and I know it's certainly been an issue for me. But now all that has changed. Apparently people stopped using 'Lots' quite a while back and finally whoever is in charge has included us too! Lot 4, Ahern Road, Pakenham (the one with the log lodge on it, not the brick one) will now be known as 163, Ahern Road, Pakenham. The postcode will remain the same.

Meanwhile in Adelaide...

Singing it up in Adelaide. Coby, Jemma and I ripping out some tunes at the Alma Tavern. And Em, we even got on that Midnight Train to Georgia.
Some would say I should have had my eyes on the road.
Giant pizza muffins with Kev & Kate's littlest, Hamish.

Jem doesn't get out much these days so it's really good to see her having so much fun with her friends.
